Strategic investments built on trust.
Private credit for Nigerian businesses building the future — accessible capital, competitive rates, lasting partnerships.

Bridging the gap for Nigerian SMEs.
Credence Ventures provides private credit to small and medium-sized enterprises across Nigeria. We offer accessible loans with competitive rates and value-added support — helping businesses establish, expand, and stabilise. Our focus is on sectors that actively create jobs and drive economic growth where it's needed most.
We believe Nigeria's greatest asset is the ambition of its people. Before the petroleum era, agriculture secured 95% of the nation's food supply and employed over 70% of the workforce. That same enterprising spirit persists today in every market, workshop, and boardroom. We exist to fuel it with the right capital at the right time.
Traditional lenders see risk. We see trajectory. Credence Ventures provides private credit to businesses that banks routinely overlook — not because they lack potential, but because they lack the collateral profiles that rigid institutional frameworks demand.
We structure financing around where a business is going, not just where it's been. Competitive rates. Flexible terms. No hidden charges. And beyond capital, we offer operational support to help our partners scale with confidence.

Founder's Note.
The Why
Nigeria's potential is rooted in its people. There is a deep-seated belief that the country is truly remarkable, driven largely by the unparalleled ambition of its citizens — a drive clearly evidenced by the immense success Nigerians achieve globally. Historically, before the dominance of the petroleum industry, Nigeria thrived as an agricultural powerhouse. At that time, farming was the backbone of the nation, securing 95% of the food supply, employing over 70% of the workforce, and accounting for more than 64% of the GDP (Oluwasanmi, H.A. 1966). However, the subsequent shift toward crude oil exportation has proven to be a double-edged sword, serving as both a significant economic windfall and a complex developmental challenge.
Building on that vision of Nigerian resilience, it is clear that immense opportunity exists right here at home. While challenges are real, the right support system can empower us to exceed our own expectations. This is where Credence Ventures plays a pivotal role. We bridge the gap for SMEs by helping them establish, expand, and stabilise through accessible loans featuring competitive rates and value-added benefits. Our mission is to pilot Nigeria toward the prosperous future we all envision.
To achieve this, we prioritise sectors and enterprises that actively create jobs for our youth and the broader population, ensuring that growth is felt by everyone.
